Multiple days at once, and the days that are missing

The phone app shows a single day. With your export in Trackmere you can set any range – a weekend, a month, a trip – and see it on one map, then step through the days one by one.

Open Trackmere – free

See a range

  1. Open your export in Trackmere.
  2. Choose a year or set From and To. The map shows everything in that range.
  3. Use ‹ and › next to the date to step through days that have data; the map highlights that day.

Why some days are empty

  • Location or Timeline was off, or the phone had no battery or no location permission.
  • The phone was replaced and the history was not moved or backed up.
  • Data older than your Timeline’s auto-delete setting was removed.
  • During the move from the web to phones, history that was not kept on a phone or backed up may be gone.

Trackmere can only show what is in the files. It cannot recover days that are not there – but it lists them, so you know exactly which days need other evidence.

Fill gaps from other exports

If you have older Takeout files, GPX tracks from a sports app, or exports from another phone, open them together with the Timeline file. Overlapping data is merged.

Questions and answers

Can Trackmere fix missing days?

No. It never invents locations. Stays it detects from raw points are marked as estimated.

Why does my iPhone export look different from Android?

The two apps write different JSON layouts. Trackmere reads both.
